Adding Custom Prints
With over 30 years of printing experience in Bali, we’ve found that printing overseas is often faster and easier than ordering custom solid colours.
Prints are processed and airfreighted to Bali every two weeks, keeping bulk orders on schedule.
Brands that add one or two custom prints often scale faster than those using only solids.
Why Print Digitally?
There are several reasons.
We print using Italian MS digital machines on REPREVE®, a premium recycled fabric from the US that’s much softer than anything printed locally.
Digital printing offers true-to-life colours with rich depth and is imported under our Tax-Free licence, allowing us to offer better prices than any local supplier.
By contrast, local sublimation printing uses heat to press colours only on the surface, resulting in flat or murky tones.
Why We Print Digitally Overseas?
Digital printing provides vibrant, fade-resistant colours that stay vivid through regular use and washes.
- Digital (Nylon): Dyes are impregnated into the fabric, creating deep, organic hues with incredible true-to-life imagery.
- Sublimation (Polyester): Dyes are heat-pressed onto the surface, more suited to neon brights.
Top Tip
For easier colour matching, identify the three key colours in each motif.
For example, when we needed a nude tone, we searched “Pantone solid colour nude TPX” on Google and found a variety of suitable shades.

Be Aware
Even digital prints can vary slightly between print runs. If colour accuracy is key, request a print strike-off — it takes a few weeks but ensures you’re happy with the result.
Prints with fewer solid colours are normally exactly as you expected. Occasionally, graduation prints with multiple colours may result in slightly different colour hues.
Print Orders & Production
- Sample prints: Available in 2-meter sections
- Bulk prints: Ordered in 70-meter rolls for use in production
For fast turnaround times, we can also print via sublimation on Vita polyester taking just a few days with no MOQ.
How to Order
To produce quality prints with clearly defined lines and imagery, take note of the following. Even if it may sound complex, it’s an easy job for any experienced graphic artist. If you possess skills in Photoshop or Illustrator, the following should be a breeze.
First, your artwork needs to be repeatable and to scale as this ensures a high-quality result with crystal clear definition.
- Repeatable: Your prints must be seamlessly tiled without visible gaps.
- To scale: To avoid distortion, artwork must match the print dimensions.
Handing Over Prints
Do’s:
- Provide artwork in Vector format (AI, EPS, SVG, or CDR) for the best quality, ensuring designs are repeatable and to scale.
- High-resolution Raster images (JPEG, PNG, or PDF) are acceptable if vector files are unavailable.
Don’ts:
- Do not convert low-resolution raster images into vector format, as this results in blurry and unusable artwork.

Custom Creations or Online Prints
Creating custom prints can be expensive and time-consuming, requiring good graphic skills or hiring a designer.
Selecting ready-made prints online is a cost-effective and time-saving process. Websites like Shutterstock.com offer a wide range of prints that can be purchased for a few dollars. For example, we first selected Vector from the top left side menu bar and added “flower prints seamless” to find this.
With your selected motif, send its link along with a screenshot over to us. We will then check that the prints you selected are suitable for digital prints.

Most motifs repeat every 10 to 20cm.

Playing with Colours
Creating prints in Vector format allows colours to be edited in minutes. For example, a blue, cream, white, and black motif can easily be edited to become dark, pink, red, and brown.
