At Swimwear Bali, digital printing isn’t just a service—it’s a cornerstone of what we do. Using MS Italian print machines and eco-friendly dyes from Huntsman in the USA, we bring your custom designs to life on REPREVE®—a buttery-soft, premium recycled fabric made in the US. It’s fade-resistant, salt water and chlorine-proof, and kind to the planet.
Expect lifelike colour, crisp detail, and long-lasting vibrancy—whether your swimsuits are built for the beach or the pool. Digital printing lets us capture every nuance of your artwork without the limitations of screen printing. Even better, it costs just slightly more than plain-dyed swimwear.
Whether testing your first design or scaling up production, you’ll get professional-grade prints—seamlessly integrated into your production schedule.
Why Choose Digital Printing for Swimwear?
Around 70% of the brands we manufacture use digital prints—and for good reason. Adding just one or two signature prints is one of the fastest ways to elevate your brand and create unique, high-end pieces that feel unmistakably yours.
Most clients are surprised by how easy the process is. We airfreight fresh print runs into Bali every two weeks, keeping your production on schedule. For many, it’s faster and easier than ordering custom-dyed solids.
Why We Use Overseas Digital Printing Instead of Bali Sublimation
Other Bali manufacturers only offer the more basic forms of printing, called sublimation printing on lower-grade Polyester. We take a premium route—printing overseas on REPREVE® recycled nylon using MS digital printers from Italy and eco-certified Huntsman dyes.
This method allows the dye to fully penetrate the fabric, producing deep, true-to-life colours that won’t fade. By contrast, sublimation heat-presses colour onto the surface, often resulting in flat, less vibrant results.
Thanks to our exclusive Tax-Free import license, we’re able to offer this superior quality at a lower cost than any local printer in Bali.
Take note
Even digital prints can vary slightly between print runs. If colour accuracy is key, request a print strike-off — it takes a few weeks but ensures you’re happy with the result.
Prints with fewer solid colours are normally exactly as you expected. Occasionally, graduation prints with multiple colours may result in slightly different colour hues.

Preparing & Submitting Your Artwork
To ensure crisp, professional-quality prints, your artwork must be repeatable(seamless with no gaps) and sized exactly to your desired print dimensions.
We recommend submitting files in vector format in AI, EPS, SVG, or CDR for the best results, high-resolution (min 300dpi)
If your prints are not formatted in Vector, then JPEG, PNG, or PDF are also acceptable.
Note: Avoid sending low-res images saved as vector files—these often result in blurry, unusable prints.
Please send either a direct link or the actual vector file for your selected print(s).
If you need help, our graphics team is happy to assist—usually at no extra cost.
Fabric Guide: REPREVE® Hawaii vs. Tahiti
REPREVE® Tahiti and Hawaii are virtually identical fabrics, trusted by brands worldwide for both beach and pool swimwear. Both are colourfast and perform well in chlorine and salt water. However, brands selling mainly for pool use may prefer Tahiti, as it’s slightly better suited to heavily chlorinated pools, while Hawaii is often chosen for ocean-focused collections as it’s more geared toward salt water use.

Choosing Custom or Ready-Made Prints
Creating prints from scratch can be expensive and time-consuming. A faster, more budget-friendly option is to choose ready-made prints from sites like Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, or VectorStock. These platforms offer thousands of digital-print-friendly designs starting from just a few dollars.
How to Select Online Prints
Once you find a design you love, send it to us as a link or upload the file after purchase. You don’t need to select the “Enhanced License” option. Just create a Shutterstock account, make payment, and forward the link along with a screenshot so we can confirm it’s suitable for digital printing. (Some designs occasionally aren’t.)
NOTE
We also offer a curated selection of free motifs on our Pinterest page. Feel free to browse and choose from there.
Below a good example of what we mean by the print being repeatable left to right, top to bottom.
Note: Most motifs repeat every 10–20 cm.
One of the benefits of using vector files is how easy they are to edit. Since vector formats are made up of color layers, you can quickly swap one color for another. For example, our pink, blue, yellow, and green floral motif was easily adjusted to pink, red, green, and yellow.
