Choosing the right fabric is one of the most important steps when building a swimwear brand. How a piece fits, stretches, dyes, and holds its shape over time all comes down to fabric quality.
At Swimwear Bali, we give you access to the highest quality, eco-certified fabrics available — without the high price tag. As the only bonded manufacturer in Bali with tax-free fabric import status, we save 35% on import duties, allowing us to offer premium imported fabrics at prices that often match or beat other manufacturers using lower-grade local materials.
With over 30 years of production experience in Bali, we understand exactly how different fabrics behave in real-world wear, from stretch recovery and colorfastness to long-term durability in sun, salt and chlorine. Our aim is to give your brand the same premium feel and performance found in high-end global labels.
Our imported stock includes recycled Italian and American fabrics, along with over eighty five eco-certified colours ready to cut as soon as your order is confirmed. Whether you are working with solids, prints, seamless construction or reversible styles, our team will guide you toward the most suitable fabric for your designs.
Recycled Fabrics from the World’s Leading Mills
We work with two of the most advanced swimwear fabric suppliers in the world:
- Vita by Carvico (Italy): made from ECONYL® yarns recovered from fishing nets and ocean waste
- Reclaim Prime (USA): made with REPREVE® yarns from post-consumer nylon waste
Although sourced from different regions, both fabrics feel and perform the same — allowing you to freely mix colours from either mill with no difference in quality, stretch or price.

In-Stock Colours for Speed and Flexibility
We stock more than 85 trending colours, the largest range in Bali, ready for immediate cutting to help you move into sampling and production without delay. This lets you move into sampling and bulk production without delay.
For new brands, choosing stock colours is the smartest and most cost-efficient way to begin.

If you’re an established brand, we can import custom colours in 70-meter rolls per shade. Depending on the supplier will effect the MOQ for each colour requested. and must be fully used within your order. Each roll produces about 200 bikini pieces, or 100 sets.
Looking for a Specific Fabric?
If there’s a fabric you have in mind that’s not listed, we’re happy to help. Just send us the name, the mill that makes it, or a brand you know is using it.
Keep in mind that importing from unfamiliar suppliers can come with higher costs, slower timelines, and large minimums. For example, custom-dyed colours often start at 250 meters per colour and may take several weeks or more to land.
Can You Use Local Fabrics?
We can source them if requested—but in most cases, we don’t recommend it. Colours are often out of stock, the quality is inconsistent, and repeat orders are tricky. For brands aiming to grow and deliver premium results, imported fabrics are the safer, more reliable choice.
Requesting Prints
When it comes to prints, it’s our specialty. We print digitally on REPREVE®, the softest fabric in our lineup from the US, due to its colour saturation, luxurious hand feel, exceptional elasticity, and long-lasting durability.
Contrary to popular opinion, requesting digital prints is faster than dying custom colour requests.

Notes
- Mixing dark & light colours may result in bleeding. This most commonly occurs when swimsuits are left damp in a plastic bag for over a few hours or used in over-chlorinated pools.
- White swimwear can become see-through when wet. Therefore we suggest to add an inner layer in the colour nude.
- Each swimwear design can be assembled in no more than two fabrics & three colourways.
