Digital Print Swimwear

We print mainly on Italian digital machines onto super-soft REPREVE® recycled nylon from the US. Printed swimwear is one of our main services, and hundreds of brands keep adding new prints. Bydee in Australia started with 1,000 units and now orders several prints each month.
Digital printing puts dye straight into the fabric for bright, realistic colour and a natural look. Our Hawaii print fabric feels very soft, shapes the body well and dries quickly, and we print with American OEKO-TEX® certified Huntsman dyes, so your swimwear looks great for years.
Prints are also easier than most people expect, faster than custom-dyed plain colours, only a little more expensive, and simpler to manage. Printing takes about a week, with another week for delivery through our tax-free fabric import facility in Bali.

How It Works

Step 1: Submit Your Artwork

Send your artwork in vector format (AI, EPS, SVG), or as JPG, PNG, TIFF, PSD or PDF. Your file needs a minimum 300 dpi resolution and a seamless repeat.

We confirm the file is print-ready, then send back a layout preview showing how the print sits and scales on each swimwear style. Our in-house graphics team can check and adjust artwork you have chosen, usually at no extra cost. We do not redraw or create prints from scratch.

A quick note on colour before you send artwork

The colours in your artwork, on screen or printed out, are not what prints on fabric.

  • A JPEG at 300 DPI, or a vector file in EPS, SVG, AI or CDR, shows colour through light on a monitor, and every monitor shows it differently.
  • Pantone references remove that guesswork, so we match to them rather than to your file.
  • Where possible, we work with Pantone TCX, colour on actual fabric, rather than TPG, colour on paper.
  • Fabric absorbs and reflects colour differently to paper, so TCX gets closest to what your customer will hold in her hands.

If possible, include a Pantone TCX code with your artwork and your colours arrive as you intended.

If this sounds complex, it is not. Send whatever artwork you have and our four in-house graphics specialists will handle the colour matching with you. Colour matching is something this factory has done for more than 30 years.

No artwork yet? How to find a print

  • Search Shutterstock, Adobe Stock or Vector Stock, all offer huge libraries of motifs at very reasonable prices.
  • On Shutterstock, open the top left drop-down bar and click Vector.
  • Search “seamless swimwear print” with the style you want, such as floral motifs.
Example: As you can see, the print motif below repeats seamlessly both left-to-right
and top-to-bottom. Most but not all, motifs repeat every 15–20 cm.

Step 2: Approve your print

Three ways to approve prints.
  • A4 strike-off photographed or filmed and emailed. USD 30 per motif. Fastest option, no courier needed.
  • Same strike-off posted to you. USD 30 plus courier.
  • Two metres printed fabric. USD 30 per metre, so USD 60 plus courier.
Two metres yields several samples and is the most reliable way to confirm colour before bulk. Allow a few extra weeks for printing and delivery.

Step 3: Print in Your Samples
Samples are normally sewn in stock colours; black is the favourite, as it shows faults most clearly. This speeds sampling and keeps costs down, and because the sample is cut in the same fabric your print runs on, it shows exactly how the finished garment will fit and feel. Want a sample in your actual print? Take the two-metre option above and allow a few extra weeks plus printing and shipping costs.
Step 3: Step 4: Bulk production
Printing starts at 70 metres per motif, roughly 140 bikini sets, with no upper limit. Printed fabric is produced for your order alone and shipped in full; it cannot be held over for a later order unless agreed in advance.
Working to a tight deadline? We sublimate on white polyester here in Bali in 2 to 3 days, for samples and production. Sublimation is faster but not as good: the colour sits on the surface rather than in the fibre, and polyester lacks the hand feel of nylon.
