Fabrics Imported & Local
We import fabrics using our tax-free exemption certificate, saving 40% on landed fabric costs. We own the only tax-free license in Bali. This allows us to price your clothing 40% lower than any other producer. Others also import fabrics but pay hefty tax & duty fees.
Most of the fabrics we incorporate into your collection either plain or digital print are purchase from Carvico in Italy & REPREVE in the US.
If your requesting colours not available in our stocks, then they are imported in in 2m sections for sampling & 70m roll-based for bulk orders via weekly flights.
If you’re short for time, we print Eco Olympus via sublimation, a process of heat pressing your prints onto fabric, which is not as soft or colour rich as Nylon digital print.
Your decision on whether to work from our stock colours or requesting your colours to be imported could well be the most important decision you make, especially at the start of your journey.
*All dyes & prints are OEKO-TEX® certified.
*We attached free branded fabric hang-tags to all activewear produced using imported fabrics, allowing your customers to know the quality of the fabric used.
We hold the best-selling colours of the season in stock, occasionally removing some & also adding new ones as they come out. Stock colours are freshly imported via weekly flights from Carvico & REPREVE:- they are not left-over fabrics.
We offer an MOQ of 20m per colour, allowing you to add more colours to your bulk orders with faster turnarounds than if requesting fabrics to be imported.
Allow 4-6* weeks from bulk PO to goods ready for dispatch.
*timelines are dependent on the volume of orders in hand as well as holidays & national closures.
**20m produces on average 70 bikinis (35 sets)
Fabrics are imported in roll based in 70m lots. One roll produces approx 100 Bikini sets, or 200 pieces. Start-up brands may find 70m to be too much for their order. Established brands or those with a bigger budget more often request fabrics to be imported roll-based.
Bulk orders using fabrics to be imported can take a few more weeks to process than if selecting colours from our stocks.
Allow 6-8* weeks from bulk PO to goods ready for dispatch.
*timelines are dependent on the volume of orders in hand as well as holidays & National closures.
**70m will produce on average 200 bikinis, (100 sets)

There are several fabrics available from retail outlets in Bali. These are commonly referred to as Bali Swim fabrics. In the main, they are of a lesser grade to our fabrics & have been imported with the high tax & duty, result in costing more than our premium Italian & American ones. They also do not come with certification & without branded fabric hang-tags.
Locally available fabrics are often out of stock as the supply chain is via sea container.

The last thing you want to happen is to run out of stock or inventory. Styles that are missing in colours or size will see your sales evaporating from your website onto others. Building brands organically can sometimes mean accepting the colours easily available. If you can select the nearest colour to your request could well see your brand selling more until you’re big enough to select colours to be imported in in 70m lots.
If you plan ahead & order your fabrics prior to your PO, then they will be here waiting to be cut the moment your order arrives.
Notes on Reversible/Colour blocks.
All fabrics, even synthetics can bleed if left damp for any period of time. We advise selecting colours of the same family, for example, Indigo & Black. Selecting opposing colours or using any colour with white may not be a good strategy.
We will advise you on colours that work well together & those that don’t.
