For the past 30 years we have been manufacturing from our facility in Bali high grade apparel in an Eco-friendly sustainable manner. We offer a one stop service from costing your collection, to sampling & finally to production & delivery to your door. Every month, on average 30 new brands hand over their collections, either start-ups or running brands looking to manufacture their label in a sustainable ethical manner, maintaining a high-grade export quality product.
We are constantly seeking new ways to reduce our carbon footprint & introduce new innovative techniques into the manufacturing process as well as introducing new organic & recycled fabrics.
King Trading is the only Company in Bali to own an exemption certificate against taxes & duties payable on the import of fabrics to the export of clothing.
We were awarded the exemption by the Gov. of Indonesia as we comply to all manpower regulation, paying employees well over the minimum wage, & offering a company insurance against doctors’ fees & prescription medication for not only each employee but also up to 4 family members.
“Owning the only tax-free license in Bali, means our fabric costs are approx. half the landed price of any other manufacturer on the Island. This results in our company being by far the cheapest supplier for premium grade Swim & Activewear on the island”
‘An estimated 7 billion kilos of plastic are discarded into our oceans, every year’
“We use only earth friendly dyes & pack your products using Bio Degradable packaging”
Each year, an estimated 1 trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide. We consider using Avani’s cassava-based biodegradable bags as one of the solutions to mitigate this horrible worldwide epidemic. Avani bags are a bio-based alternative to using petroleum-based plastic bags.

30 years ago, in 1989, Steve Martin landed in Bali searching for an environmentally friendly way to produce his ladies’ fashion brand, Hippi Chic London. In three months, he had made a collection of patchwork clothing & started selling to retailers across the UK. Four years on, Steve was wholesaling to over 120 stores across UK & EU to such outlets as Harrods & Top Shop.
